Back in the UK

{photo taken of Fourth Road Bridge in 2010}

Hello April!  I flew back to Edinburgh yesterday and I am freezing my a off! At least the sun is shining though :)
My flight back via Amsterdam was fine, apart from the little detour it took to Bahrain (which nobody told us about.  Or told me about.  Or maybe I just never read my e-ticket properly...  I'm not sure which of these is correct.  I'm going with the second!) which meant we were delayed by over an hour, which meant I missed my connecting flight, which meant I was bored, tired and cranky!
But it's ok.  My spirits were lifted once we took off on leg 2 of 3 and I got my highly anticipated plane food (I love plane food.  Don't judge!) and watched some good films.
1} Horrible Bosses - Hilarious, so long as you're not offended, translation: uptight, about some *necessary* profanity.  I didn't think it would be all that good, but it had me laughing out loud (no one was beside me) and I think it may even be just as good as, if not better, than the Hangover I.  Great cast too.
2} I don't know how she does it - I read the book, which is honestly fabulous.  At first glance, you might pass it off as being fluffy chick-lit.  I did.  But a trusted friend had recommended it to me, so I gave it a go.  Its intelligently written, extremely witty and the characters are all identifiable.  I think that every woman should read this book.  If you're a full-time working mother then it's an absolute must!   But as far as the film depiction goes, give it a miss.  It does the book no justice - not one little iota!
3} Margin Call - this was a good call! To complete my little OCD quota of watching at least one comedy, one girlie/romcom and one thriller/drama I chose this.  Centred around some investment bankers during the crucial hours leading up to the crash of 2008, this was a real gripper. Unfortunately the plane cut me off right as it was getting gritty (about half way through) so its gonna have to be a rental.  That way Bo can explain some of the FS jargon to me.  Another great cast (since when has Kevin Spacey ever done a bad movie - except for maybe K-Pax.  Sorry)
{End of movie critique}
While i'm home to do wedding-y things mainly, I can't wait to see some of my friends and family again.  I realise I made one big mistake before coming here though.  I left my precious camera.  Why?  I have no idea why.  To save space?!  Worst plan ever.  I have a feeling there will be lots of instagramming this month instead.
Anyway, some of the things I have to look forward to this month:
~ trying on my wedding dress for the first time ~
(and praying it fits)
~ my first dress fitting ~
~ seeing all my best friends ~
~ meeting my milliner ~
~ seeing our completed invites & sending them out ~
~ searching for centrepieces & stationary ~
~ spending Easter with my family ~
~ visiting my bm in London ~
~ wedding shoe shopping in London ~
~ make up & hair trials ~
~ some much needed therapies ~
~ Lots of walks with my mum ~

laced with some more mundane tasks like getting my visa renewed and dental appointments!
