Arabian desert safari & birthday weekend: Part two

Heres the second part of our desert safari experience from last weekend.

If you missed the first part, I blogged about it here
I had to split the post up, as I took so many pictures and I didn't want to bombard you by putting them all in one post.
It begins where I left off, mainly pictorial, so no heavy reading :)
This covers the evening part of our little adventure.  Most guests left after dinner & the entertainment had finished.  After that it was pretty chilled and those of us that were camping out - 3 other couples, plus ourselves and a young student - spent the remainder of the evening sitting around a log fire,  drinking wine & beer & chatting.  Perfect end to a pretty full on day.
>our little fortress for the night<
>the sand is so flawless. Its perfect<
>so strange hearing the bag pipes in the middle east<
>traditional palestinian dance<

>our little bedouin tent<
>c'mon Kes<
>How cool do I look?? I'm wrapped up in Bo's golf waterproofs.  It got pretty chilly later, but we came prepared<
>This couple had just gotten married & were planning a big wedding party with their families back in SA.  I loved< hearing their story.
>contemplating the turn of a new decade<

We never made it up for sunrise sadly (the sunrise/sets here are incredible).
But we live here now... and theres always tomorrow
:)
