Dressed for Dinner

I’m a little behind on my postings I know {rookie blogger}.  I’m working on it.  Promise.

~ Just to pick up where I left off it’s apparent that K & P-Middy {as they are now affectionately being nicknamed.  I’m sure the Queen will be down with that} are now worldwide phenomenon’s.  Who knew?! ~

Back to the important stuff though.  Dressed for Dinner was a fashion show/ dinner event hosted at Harvey Nichols to showcase some of the key looks for this summer, so naturally I got us, Bodie {my boyfriend} and I, booked up.  Bo wasn’t too much of a fan coming along, but when he realised that he wouldn’t have to spend the evening schmoozing with the fashion glitterati, since he just loves talking stripes and stilettos - about as much as he loves cushions on the bed... and all over the couch - I think he actually quite enjoyed it.  In fact it wasn’t a networking event at all, but rather a laid back social evening for people just looking for a night with a little bit of fashion flair.  I was probably one of the more fashionscious there, while I think most others were there solely to enjoy the food, which was just as good as the show itself!

We had our own intimate table, much to Bo’s delight, and the models sashayed in and around our tables and onto the main catwalk between courses.  There were 6 different categories,  and unfortunately I didn’t get any photos of the show, since our table was right by the catwalk and I didn’t want my flash to distract the models – that and no else appeared to be taking any.  Guests enjoyed a champagne reception followed by a swimwear teaser, then a sumptuous 3 course meal, including a main of Corn fed chicken stuffed with smoked ham and truffle *yummy*.   The evening went really well.  It’s run seasonally and I would definitely recommend going to the next one.  You can book tables for larger groups, or just couples.

Since I didn’t manage to get any photos of the actual show, I tracked down some of the key pieces and grouped them together to share with you.

And my favourite of these {because ETRO stands for Everything That Rocks, Official! - Not really!} ...

and for the boys of summer..

The decor for the night: cool flamingo hedge things wearing this season’s most
covetable accessories.

Ahhh....

To make up for my lack of postage, I will be posting again v. soon so watch this space.
